Out and About

Stephen James spoke at the INTA Conference in Denver on the subject of Cutting Edge Trademarks. He also delivered a paper to an ITMA evening meeting in June on the subject of CTM Appeal Board decisions. Copies of both papers are available on request.

 

Well Known Mark

In 1999, the Jenkins firm was the fourth highest filer of CTM applications in the UK (in terms of the total number of applications made by class). Our CTM filing figures for 2000 are so far about 50% up on 1999.

 

New Member of Staff

Isabel Moya joined the Jenkins Trade Mark Department in March 2000. Isabel is a Spanish national and has a law degree from Alicante University. Prior to joining Jenkins, she worked for three years in the Alicante office of a major Spanish IP firm handling their CTM matters. The British way of life obviously agrees with Isabel since she very recently married the IP Barrister, Michael Edenborough.
