Stephen James chaired the ITMA Autumn Conference in October and will also chair the ITMA International Conference in April. He will also chair a session on domain names at the ECTA conference in London in June.

David Musker has been designated a “World Leader in IP” at the 2004 European IP awards, in recognition of his commitment to developing use and understanding of the Community Design system. David wrote the first practitioner text on the new design law, and filed the first Community Design. He gave a talk on designs at the CIPA East of England meeting in January.

Two articles by Angela Fox on dilution and political cybersquatting were recently published in the ABA IPL Newsletter, Summer 2004, and the December/January issue of Trademark World, respectively. For copies, please contact Jenkins.
