James has a degree in Physics, which he applies to many different technical areas including satellites, aircraft, medical software and kettle controls. He works mainly with UK-based clients, developing their patent portfolios and dealing with those of their competitors. He recently gained an LLM in Intellectual Property Litigation and has been involved extensively in litigation and litigation support, as well as advocacy before the European Patent Office.

In rare moments outside work, he enjoys looking after his 4 small children, dinghy sailing and slow food.
