Alvin entered the patent profession in 2002 after obtaining an Articifical Intelligence and Computer Science degree.  The main focus of his work is in obtaining patents involving computer-related technologies, and he has experience with drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of fields, including computer networks, image processing, databases, user interfaces, media streaming, anti-virus, neural networks and genetic algorithms.

He is also a contributor to the European Patents Handbook.

Outside of work, Alvin enjoys tinkering with games programming, playing ice/roller hockey and cooking.
