Marianne Privett

Marianne graduated from the University of Southampton in 2000 with an MChem, having concentrated her studies on inorganic chemistry including a six month research placement at the ENSCM in Montpellier, which enabled her to develop her French skills. She then studied for a PhD in materials chemistry, which she was awarded from the University of Southampton in 2004.

Marianne entered the profession in 2003 working in an in-house patent department for a large speciality chemicals company. She joined Jenkins in 2008 and is currently working towards qualification as a Chartered Patent Attorney and a European Patent Attorney.

Marianne has worked in a wide range of technologies including catalysis, precious metals, pharmaceuticals and materials, and is involved in all aspects of patent prosecution work.

Outside of work, Marianne enjoys films, cooking and yoga.
